She made a sample and it worked.

Three years later, Null's invention, "1st Mark" is being marketed regularly on the home shopping network QVC and Null has received a patent on the product.

Null, a grandmother with several other inventions to her credit, recalls fondly the time spent with her family assembling the first two hundred "1st Mark" products on her kitchen table. The product which is now in full production, helps homeowners hang pictuers and other items easily and correctly the first time.

The unique new handtool has made three successfull appearances on QVC with the promise of more to come.
